Last but not the least, The sound of Quotes reminds me of Kahlil Gibran and the Prophet. So here goes the last Quote in the series.
“We wanderers, ever seeking the lonelier way, begin no day where we have ended another day; and no sunrise finds us where sunset left us. Even while the earth sleeps we travel. We are the seeds of the tenacious plant, and it is in our ripeness and our fullness of heart that we are given to the wind and are scattered.”
― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
When I think about Quotes, the next name comes to my mind is Rumi. Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi.
Rūmī, was a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic.
“You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust. You were born with ideals and dreams. You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.”
― Rumi
Rumi Quotes are enlightening as well as poetic.
Quote challenge is making waves. Everywhere Quote challenge. I was nominated twice and now I have no other way. So here is my first Quote.
Whenever I think of a quote, Christopher McCandles Ak Alexander Supertramp comes to my mind. I think his life has influenced me a lot. If you want to know more about him watch the movie “Into the wild” or read the book of same name.
“Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.”
― Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild
Thank you Lataji and Moon for nominating me. Now I can spell Quote without much trouble 😉
