  1. The other side of Dubai.. Where I guess you d find all the helpers and the migrants. Great that you could share those “stolen” pictures, is it a big market? everyday?

    1. Yes, it is the other side, but not of Dubai. Some other emirate. And yes, your guess is so right. As you have already seen and worked in such places, you will understand easily. Great that I came out of the place in full piece after taking pictures 😛 It is somewhat big market. It operates only on weekend, Friday.

  2. Great pics and info about this. I have now seen both sides of Dubai! 😛 If I go back there and cannot afford the Dubai Mall or Mall of the Emirates, then at least I have the Friday Market to find some bargains 😛

  3. I thought this was in Dubai, as I have never seen this Friday market (unless it is near the port??). Where is it?
But then, your last photo is obviously in AD, eh…I don’t think there is a leaning tower of Dubai like this one!! Very cool post. Great photos. I would have liked to have heard some of the horror stories you mentioned, though.

I Shared the last picture, as I thought it was sort of icon of AD.

        1. Yes, it is Mussafa.
Yea, i have seen the driving in there. Seems like, everyone is having similar opinion. But then you should visit India 😉
But do you think people are disciplined drivers in South East Asia?

          1. All very good points. In India and SE Asia, no not the greatest drivers, but they usually are going much slower, so you can weave in and out of traffic. Here, people are going 180kph and trying to do the same kind of driving they do in other countries!

          2. Yea, there most of the road are great, traffic is less and speed is faster. Here traffic on a narrow road is too much, roads are bad and thus speed is less. So an accident is less fatal.
