Into the wild Quote

Some Quotes for you #1

Quote challenge is making waves. Everywhere Quote challenge. I was nominated twice and now I have no other way. So here is my first Quote.

Whenever I think of a quote, Christopher McCandles Ak Alexander Supertramp comes to my mind. I think his life has influenced me a lot. If you want to know more about him watch the movie “Into the wild” or read the book of same name.

Into the wild Quote
Into the wild Quote

“Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.”
Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild

Thank you Lataji and Moon for nominating me. Now I can spell Quote without much trouble 😉

  1. Wonderful lines you’ve shared. I believe it too that “there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” That’s what living is all about. Thank you for sharing the quote and mentioning my blog. Waiting for the next two 🙂

  2. Hey jithin,

I can think of no better quote for the adventurous soul who throws their arms open wide to the experience of really living: but not living life as the dreamer nor living life as the dream, but living life with a questing purpose, an expansive horizon, and a truly worthwhile intention free from artificial persuasion, influence and effect, and free of the tortuous constructs that pollute and impair the joyous act of being alive on our beautiful Earth. Such freedoms may come with the boundlessness of the imaginative mind and rest within the heart of the spirited traveller, but how disappointing it is to feel a sense of true freedom no longer comes as the default setting within contemporary life. Christopher McCandless wonderful story leaves a legacy: there is a world of missed opportunity painted on the flip side of life’s spinning coin, where the dream will always exist for those who have the vision, the desire, the self discipline and the sheer force of will to make it come true.

A great quote to head up a new week. Thank you for the ‘wilderness’ in your thoughts 🙂

Happy travelling my friend. Take care as always.

    1. Thanks a lot for visiting again. Well I am considering your well thought out feedbacks in the likeness of Kahlil Gibran’s thoughts or something similar to that. They are always profound and never cease to amaze me.
Glad you like the real life story of Christopher McCandless 🙂

  3. ~ Kiss The Earth ~

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Bring the Earth your love and happiness.
    The Earth will be safe
when we feel safe in ourselves.
